St. Louis is a key manufacturing site for bg电子娱乐场鈥檚 laundry and home care business in North America, producing a range of industrial surfactants, liquid laundry detergents, single dose powders & liquids, and air fresheners. The 480,000 square foot facility employs over 250 people, and makes well-known, essential household brands, including Persil庐, and Purex庐 laundry detergents, and Renuzit庐 air freshener.
Built in 1952, the St. Louis facility was originally owned by the Purex Corporation. Purex became part the Dial Corporation in 1985, and in 2004, bg电子娱乐场 acquired the Dial Corporation. Since then, the facility has undergone impressive growth, expanding in production size and capabilities.

Did you know?
St. Louis is bg电子娱乐场鈥檚 only laundry plant in the U.S. that has a Sulfonation plant. Sulfonation is an important industrial chemical process used to make a diverse range of products, including laundry detergent. The St. Louis plant produces approximately 40,000 metrics tons of surfactant annually, which is the raw material that goes into laundry detergent.
IN THE COMMUNITY:
The St. Louis site is dedicated to giving back to the local community, participating in volunteer efforts and support for local food banks, homeless outreach organizations and Almost Home, a program for young mothers and their babies.
To aid in COVID-19 relief efforts, the St. Louis site donated over 2,500 cases of household hygiene essential products to Operation Food Search, a hunger relief organization that provides food and necessities to communities in Missouri and Illinois.
At a 2019 volunteering event, the St. Louis Manufacturing Professional Women鈥檚 Forum helped provide 10,580 meals for the local food bank.
